Recognize Your Power and Authority
All knowing is sourced within you. That is to say, no one actually holds or can hold more information about you than you do. You are therefore the best source of information about yourself and you are your own best authority.
Others have a vested interest in convincing you of the opposite: that something or someone other than yourself is a better, more complete, higher or more pure source of information about you than you are. That is the business of all manner of social, political and religious belief systems and institutions.
Getting in touch with your own personal power is not, however, a result or a function of being granted some sort of temporary stewardship over yourself, or of having your choices dictated to you by others. That approach leads to dis-empowerment.
Empowerment, on the other hand, is the moment-to-moment trust in your own guidance as well as a reliance on your own internal indicators. And those indicators and internal communications are immediately available – right here and right now – from within yourself.
This does not mean that you cannot or should not share information or take advice from another. Nor does it mean that you are an island independent from all others. What it does mean, however, is that you are the immediate as well as the ultimate source of your own personal power and freedom.
While you may not be objectively or fully aware of how to access and act on the information you provide yourself, know that it is there, and that it is available to you. You only need to look to yourself, rely on yourself and trust yourself.
Consciously acknowledging and recognizing yourself as your own best authority in all matters pertaining to you is a critically important key to unlocking your own personal power. And trusting yourself to act as your own authority is essential to sustaining your personal power in all circumstances and at all times.
