Personal Empowerment and the Planets – Part Three

A common view within astrological circles is that the various planets influence how you feel, think and act by way of their effect on a broad array of internal communications generated by your senses, emotions, feelings, intelligence and imagination.

The concept is that you, and the actions you take or avoid, are controlled by the placement of particular planets. A planet or combination of planets in a particular sign and house, for example, is said to determine your emotional makeup, intellectual acumen and even your choices and decisions.

The reality underlying personal empowerment, on the other hand, relies on a somewhat different perspective.

Within that equally legitimate reality, your choices and movement within physicality are generated and created by you. That may well be reflected in the planets and stars, but not the other way around. The genesis of your choice and movement is you, not a planet.

To consider otherwise places you in the untenable position of being a rather pathetic victim to what are, in actuality, your own created experiences. Moreover, a victim will doubtlessly require a savior of some sort to help balance out the resulting predicament of physicality.

There is some good news in all of this. Whether you prefer to view yourself as a victim of circumstance or as an empowered personality, by simply listening to your inner voice you will proactively become more aware of the many streams of communication which you provide yourself.

Opening yourself to the vast spectrum of communication that is already playing out within your perceptual array will serve to empower you, whether you view yourself as a victim, a person with choice, or something else.

As you allow yourself access to the spectrum of information available to you through your own internal communication, your choices will naturally and effortlessly increase as will your personal power and freedom of movement.

The more popular questions asked about the planets and their influence deal with the timing of events. When will I get something I want or which will benefit me? What is the best time to engage in a particular action? How much time do I have to accomplish or complete something?

A surprising perspective in response to these questions has less to do with the purported influence of the planets and stars and a whole lot to do with your own personal power.

It is commonly believed and accepted that the planets influence or even directly determine the timing of what happens to you. From the empowering perspective of your own personal power, however, no such dynamic actually takes place.

Personal empowerment is based on the recognition that you always retain access to your own personal power. And, freedom to access your own personal power is reflected in both the choices as well as the timing which you present to yourself.

Accordingly, access to your personal power within the dimensional experience of time is not dictated by something or someone outside of you. Nor is it dictated by the planets, stars or heavens beyond.

In point of fact, your relationship with the time element is a critically important access point to the expression of your energy. Restrictions and limitations which you do experience within a linear reality are those which you yourself create and which you draw to yourself. Just like in a hall of mirrors, the planetary environment is designed to reflect back exploratory challenges which you personally generate.

You place yourself in a position of increased choice and freedom of movement as you consciously direct your energy into the power of the moment. In fact, this is one of the most empowering perceptual adjustments you can make. Moreover, this simple movement into the timelessness-of-the-moment is the ultimate, practical response to the influence of time as reflected in planetary movement.

Recognizing that your own personal interaction within the time element is the basis for planetary expression opens many perceptual doors and can lead you to greater access to your own personal power and freedom.

Personal Empowerment and the Planets – Part One

It is commonly believed that changes in your life are strongly influenced, if not directly play out, based on the movement of various planets and stars in the heavens. This astrological belief strongly influences currently accepted views on personal power and the ability to manifest changes in life.

As an ancient, venerable system, astrology continues to have an incredibly strong influence on our modern day understanding of personal power and empowerment. And, to the extent that it helps us make sense of what goes on in our lives, those beliefs are quite useful.

The long-lasting vitality of astrological science and its underlying belief system originates from the timeless search for potential and possibility in a world of physicality and limitation. This ancient hunt is the clarion call, the precursor, to personal empowerment and personal power in its more modern context.

Yet, deeper still, the grand search for potential within a world of limits ultimately revolves around the dynamics of movement within consciousness. It is the unlimited energy of consciousness which allows for exploration of personal empowerment and freedom in the first place.

In a thoroughly modern context, the drive to explore includes an allowance to broaden life experiences. And, while planetary movement may well reflect that allowance in a myriad of ways, it is not its cause.

To view the planets otherwise would be like thinking that the indicator lights on a photocopy machine are the cause of the copies made. In point of fact, the indicator lights merely reflect the choices and actions you take to make the copies.

Be sure to take credit for your own creations! As you offer yourself movement in any context, recognize that what you present to yourself is neither generated by something outside yourself nor foisted on you as a victim of circumstance.

From this perspective, the movement of the planets and stars can more accurately been viewed as an expression of your wondrous personal power rather than the reason or cause of your own individual, creative, conscious movement. This enriching and empowering perspective about your own energy is your way to personal power and freedom.
